Kitchen Assistant & Early years Educators (Ashbourne)

We are recruiting a Kitchen Assistant & Early years Educators to manage the day to day organization of our customers kitchen area and the provision of meals (Childcare). The is full-time position, Mon-Fri, 40hrs per week.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To take day-to-day responsibility for the provision of meals and snacks for the children in the centre.
  • Must be HACCP Trained and familiar with HACCP procedures.
  • Follow HACCP Safe Catering Guide and procedures.
  • Document and complete the relevant records according to the HACCP Safe catering Guide. This will include, but not limited to, food delivery records, refrigeration records, cooking/cooling/reheating records, hygiene inspection checklist, hygiene training records, transport & delivery records.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists as required.
  • Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
  • Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately.
  • Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients.
  • Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or are.
  • Preparing food items as needed.
  • Follow the policies & procedures of the service at all times.
  • Cleaning, tidying and storage of equipment after use.
  • Maintain room and equipment to ensure the health and safety of children & staff at all times.
  • Disposing of rubbish.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly deep clean of equipment as per checklists.
  • Follow the policies & procedures of the service at all times.
  • Be aware of Child Protection Procedures and advise manager should you have any concerns about a child.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality – any breach of confidentiality about children or their families will constitute gross misconduct.
  • Attend meetings and undergo training as required.
  • Perform other reasonable and relevant duties as may be assigned from time to time.
