Customs Clearance Clerk (Dublin)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customs Clearance Clerk to join a new customs team. You will be part of a newly established team and will report directly to the Customs Lead. You will be responsible for supporting the team in processing all customs shipments documentation and reviewing and resolving all customs related queries. You will work as part of team to ensure all customs administrative tasks are completed efficiently and accurately to ensure our first in class service is not impacted.

 

Role Outline:

You will be responsible for supporting the team in processing all customs shipments documentation and reviewing and resolving all customs related queries. You will work as part of team to ensure all customs administrative tasks are completed efficiently and accurately to ensure our first in class service is not impacted.

Variable shifts available. A level of flexibility will be required in this role, especially whilst developing the team and during periods of training which are expected to be Monday – Saturday.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:


- Run all activities associated with processing customs documentation to include reviewing documentation received for accuracy and completeness
- Work closely with colleagues throughout the business and externally to advise and support them in custom related matters
- Prepare necessary import documentation such as certificates of origin and cargo control document
- Processing import/export consignments as required
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and Irish Revenue
- Communicate with both Port & Revenue authorities
- Process all data entry requirements ensuring that they are completed correctly and on time
- Assist with monthly reports and retrieval of information
- General administration


Requirements: 

Previous experience in freight forwarding / transport or similar industry desirable
- Customs experience preferred but not essential
- Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
- Excellent organisation skills
- Exceptional communication skills and command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to work under pressure and to the highest of standard

Ideally we are looking for 1-2 years customs experience.

Salary: €25,000 + DOE
