#10152 - Retail Development Executive, €33k, €7k bonus, Nationwide

We are currently looking to recruit a Retail Development Executive for a salary of €33k plus a €7k bonus. The role covers all of Ireland with some overnights included. 

 

There are 2 main elements to the role

 

1.)   Identifying and recruiting new Retail Partners.

  • Organize recruitment blitzes within a specific geographical area to strengthen the company's offering and facilitate Corporate Sales within that area.
  • Sign up new and existing Retail Partners for new products.
  • Manage and follow up on any potentially new retailer queries or issues.
  • Develop and implement sales recruitment strategies to ensure monthly targets are achieved.
  • Supporting new business projects when needed.
  • Implement Point of Sale into current and new partners' stores.

 

 

2.)   Account Management of Existing Retail Partners. This entails the management of a certain group of Retailers.

  • Full responsibility for the management of existing retailers, including marketing activity plan and account profitability.
  • Managing the middle management relationship with respective accounts to senior management level, networking across all functions.
  • Achieve market leadership status through regular professional, customer-focused interactions.
  • Develop and gain agreement to joint business plans annually with Retail Partners.

 

 

Job Environment

The Retail Development Executive is responsible for the recruitment of new retail partners. The applicant will be required to implement a national recruitment plan based on both geographical and market segment requirements.

The applicant must identify, target, and sign up new profitable retailers to accept the product.

Assist in developing further profitable business and promotional opportunities across a wide sector of retailers.

The Retail Development Executive will also be responsible for managing certain Retail Partners that are already on the scheme. This will include agreeing on marketing activity plans, account profitability and face-to-face meetings.

Given the breadth and diversity of accounts within the remit, the Retail Development Executive must be able to balance and prioritize a very wide range of different projects, targets, and responsibilities. The role requires a high degree of pro-activity and offers a significant amount of autonomy and responsibility.

 

 

Knowledge & Experience

The role has a high level of influence over a large income channel, requiring extensive knowledge and advanced management and leadership skills to optimise the business return.

The Retail Development Executive would typically demonstrate high competence in the following skill areas:

  • Drive for Results
  • Critical thinking, judgment, and strong analytical & numeracy skills.
  • A confident negotiator with a strong self-belief and influencing skills.
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • You must hold a full clean Irish driving license and be willing to travel throughout Ireland with some overnight stays as necessary.
  • You must hold a full clean Irish driving license

 

Candidates that have experience in dealing with retailers will be an advantage.
